"We do not want to take one dime from the insurance company that is not owed to the insured, but we do not want the insurance company to keep one dime they owe to the insured or homeowner, either. I settle most all of the claims of my clients in a quick manner by working with the insurance adjuster, but if the client ever has to go to court, they can be assured that they have a claim that has been very well documented by us."
Property Appraiser & Umpire
Hatfield has been involved as a property appraiser and umpire on insurance claims in multiple states. Through a thorough investigation, Hatfield learns every detail of a claim to provide his best for the insured and homeowner. The difference between Hatfield and his competitors is that he not only has the knowledge, but he knows how to apply that knowledge!
A few things Hatfield requires to do a thorough investigation of a claim when he agrees to take a job:
A copy of the Proof of Loss
ALL correspondences between the two parties prior to and leading up to the appraisal
All documents acquired up to that time
A certified policy
Endorsements
The application
Work Product
All disclaimers signed either knowingly or unknowingly
How the entire claim started
Where the claim ended prior to the demand for appraisal if an appraisal has been demanded
Any phone conversations with the insurance company or adjusters that has taken place
As he determines the amount of the loss, which is the job of an appraiser, he will research the other side's appraiser diligently as they work together to agree on an umpire.
